What Happens At Mass?

Sunday Is A Special Day

We go to Mass on Sunday and Jesus is with us.

What is happening in each picture?

The Priest leads us in the celebration of Mass, we listen to the Bible, Jesus shares his life and love with us!

Baby Baptism Ceremony

BAPTISM is the first Sacrament we receive.  Our parents name us and present us to the Lord and Church family.

WATER is used in BAPTISM because water helps all living things grow,

Girl Holding BIble

BAPTISM takes away Original Sin (Sin that started with Adam & Eve)

GOD PARENTS help parents bring up the child as good Catholics.

Let's Memorize Our Prayers

Grace Before Meals

Bless us O Lord, and these thy gifts,
Which we are about to receive,

from thy bounty,
Through Christ, Our Lord.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.

Lord's Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,

on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Bedtime Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Angels watch me through the night,
And wake me with the morning light.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.
